During the preflight, Thunderbird #4 went down with a maintenance issue.
Without the majority of the crowd realizing what was going on,
#2 was towed away from the showline about an hour or so before show time and was replaced.

The ground crews did a number swap removing the #4 decal before the ship was towed off the line.
What I believe had been Number 8, a two seater F-16D, became #4 and flew the show.

Hats off to the ground people for a prefession sleight of hand respotting the team in plain view
and to #4 Maj. Steve Horton for switching ships at the last minute and still flying an excellent show.
